Just Say Jesus

September 10, 2014 By mollieh02 2 Comments

Tonight has been a rough night in my house.  I discovered that the freezer door had been blocked from closing all the way, but not enough to be noticed. It had been cracked open for just long enough to thaw everything on the door. Everything on the outside of most of the shelves and for some reason the entire middle shelf, which held my ice cream reserve….. I mean really? I don’t even have ice cream to absorb my feelings about this. I can’t help but laugh as I am in the middle of typing that last sentence.  Bet you can guess what I’ve been doing the last couple hours.  Yep, that’s right.  Cooking the salvageable freezer items.  I have cooked sausage patties, bourbon street chicken, hash brown patties, and tuscan beans so far.  I still have whole new potatoes, and two pizza dough balls to cook.  I threw out an entire kitchen trash can full of stuff that was just mush.  It could have been worse.  The shelf with all the meat on it could have thawed out and I could be up cooking all night.  Of course during all this my kids were bugging me every 10 seconds or so to the point where I feel like my head is really going to explode at any second.  If you walk into my house tonight I will most likely paint you a picture of a stark raving lunatic.  Good thing no one stopped by!

Now, on the bright side, I won a signed copy of a book at a twitter party earlier tonight.  FYI:  You cannot send a message to someone who does not follow you on twitter, even though anyone you follow can send you a message.  I may never get the book, because I’m supposed to message the author, who does not follow me, with my info, but I won.  LOL.  Ooo, just got the whole book deal figured out!

In the midst of the chaos, God planted a song in my head, as He often does.  I thought I would share it with you tonight!

Just Say Jesus

By: 7eventh Time Down

Life gets tough and times get hard
And it’s hard to find the truth in all the lies
If you’re tired of wondering why you’re heart isn’t healing
And nothing feels like home cause you’re lost and alone
Just screaming at the sky

When you don’t know what to say
Just say Jesus
There is power in the name
The name of Jesus
If the words won’t come cause you’re too afraid to pray
Just say Jesus

Whisper it now, or shout it out
However it comes out, He hears your cry
Out of nowhere He will come
You gotta believe it
He will rescue you
Just call out to the way, the truth, the life

When you don’t know what to say
Just say Jesus
There is power in the name
The name of Jesus
If the words won’t come cause you’re too afraid to pray
There is just one name, strong enough to save
There is just one name
There is just one name
Jesus

When you don’t know what to say
Just say Jesus
There’s still power in the name
The name of Jesus
If the words won’t come cause you’re too afraid to pray
If the words won’t come and you don’t know what to say
Just say Jesus

Tomorrow is a new day and I’ll probably have to take the kids for ice cream to make up for the “moment” I had tonight.  (Moms’ Night Out reference in case you didn’t catch it!  If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend finding your closest Redbox and renting it now!!!)  Hey, at least I won’t have to cook dinner tomorrow and now the freezer is cleaned out too!  🙂

Godspeed,

Mollie  <3

So sorry about your freezer. At least you decided to make use of the food that was still good and cook some things. I would have cried and thrown it all away. I hope the author who’s book you won ends up figuring out how to contact you. What book did you win? I just watched Moms Night Out for the 3rd time with my girlfriends last weekend for good laughs and cries. I just downloaded the book for Kindle for $.99! Have a blessed tomorrow.

This is the fourth time I’ve had to deal with something happening to a freezer and having to deal with all the food in I’d say the last two years. The first time it was my mom’s freezer, so I’ve had practice unfortunately.
I won Walls Fall Down by Dudley Rutherford. We got it figured out finally. Leave it up to Twitter to make things difficult, lol.
Absolutely love Mom’s Night Out!!! I have a girlfriend coming over tomorrow night to watch it! 🙂
