This post is a part of Five Minute Friday, a writing flash mob that happens every week when writers are prompted by a single word to write for 5 minutes without any major editing. Just raw thoughts and emotions. You can find out more and/or join the party here.
Everyone sing with me now! “Celebrate good times. Come on. (Let’s celebrate)!”
I just had to do it!
There is always something to celebrate if you just look for it. Some things we celebrate are big and obvious and others are smaller and you have to really look for them.
There has been much to celebrate in my world this past week. My little sister got married this past weekend! It was so wonderful to see the light of love in her eyes as she looked at her new husband! I am so grateful that she has found someone who loves her well and makes her so happy!
Today I am celebrating 2 months with an amazing man who I am so very grateful for! Two months may not seem like very long, but for me it’s an answered prayer.
Tonight my seven year old read me two books with no help at all!
Sure, the things to celebrate seem few and far between sometimes, but if you look for them, they’re there.
What are you celebrating today? I would love to celebrate with you!
Godspeed,
Mollie <3
Mollie, that is totally the song I thought of when I heard the word prompt. I may have shared the video in my post. Looks like you have wonderful things to celebrate! I’m parked in the #6 spot this week.

Mollie-
I LOVE that song by Kool and the Gang…in fact it’s my favorite of all time!
I thought if it when I saw the prompt but didn’t put it into my post. Dang it…I should have!
I love seeing these photos and blessings for you and your family. My little sister got married seven years ago now, but I was so blessed to go visit their sweet family the first part of the month. Your new relationship is precious, and I love how God answers prayers for companionship. Also, your seven year old and our six year old are both on the Hallelujah Praise the Lord path of reading! We mothers of boys know that is a real struggle! Bryan is just finally learning a few sight words and willing to read some really short books out loud to me too! Cheers to all these big celebrations! Virtual Hugs, Jenn
p.s. Having my morning tea solo in physical space but in the internet world with you! 😉
