We share our lives every day with those we love and know well. With the ones who love us no matter what comes out of the sharing. It’s natural to us. As I sat at my women’s Bible study this morning with women who had been mostly strangers just two weeks before when we had met for the first time, and there it was, the sharing. Sharing our deepest parts about mothering and being a spouse, or almost one in my case. Sharing in the shared experience of it. Those of us who write here in the blogosphere share pieces of ourselves and hope that somewhere somehow it will reach the right heart and help them know that they’re not the only one. For me, sharing here is about standing together with someone. Letting them know that someone else has walked the same roads they find themselves on today and that there is light at the other end. It’s about knowing that even though I don’t see the value of it some days that my story matters and it has the potential to help someone walk out of the darkness into a better way of life. It’s knowing that while I am still in the midst of my own struggles that someone else out there needs to hear my words.
Have you shared your own story?
