This post is a part of Five Minute Friday, a writing flash mob that happens every week when writers are prompted by a single word to write for 5 minutes without any major editing. Just raw thoughts and emotions. You can find out more and/or join the party here.
The first thing I thought with the word here was: here I am to worship. No surprise there, God often speaks to me through music. It got me to thinking though. Is it really true? Am I really here to worship, no matter where that here is at any given moment? I want to live a life of worship. To be a living testimony to the living God. That is the goal at least, but is it my current reality? Am I able to look away for the problems that face this day and cast my eyes upon the One who makes it all ok? When people see me, do they see me bogged down with the burdens of this world, or do they see me with my eyes fastened to the One who made me, the One who set me apart? Here in this moment I say, here I am to worship. In this moment I can control where my focus is. I’ll let the next moments worry about themselves.
I’m going to mix up my Five Minute Friday a little bit this week and include Worship Wednesday in the same post. Hope you enjoy this song!
Here I Am To Worship
